Oberiu
Oberiu was a group of avant-garde poets and artists in the Soviet Union during the 1920s and 1930s. The name stands for "Union of Real Art" and was known for its experimental approach to literature and art, often challenging traditional forms and conventions. Members included notable figures like Daniil Kharms and Alexander Vvedensky, who focused on absurdity and the surreal in their works.
The group was associated with the broader Russian avant-garde movement, which sought to break away from established artistic norms. Despite its innovative spirit, Oberiu faced repression under the Soviet regime, leading to its decline and the eventual silencing of many of its members.
