OSCE Minsk Group
The OSCE Minsk Group is a diplomatic initiative established in 1992 under the auspices of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). Its primary goal is to facilitate a peaceful resolution to the conflict over the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh, which is claimed by both Armenia and Azerbaijan. The group consists of co-chairs from France, Russia, and the United States, along with representatives from both countries involved in the conflict.
The Minsk Group engages in negotiations and mediates discussions to promote dialogue and understanding between Armenia and Azerbaijan. It has proposed various peace plans and frameworks over the years, aiming to achieve a lasting settlement. Despite its efforts, the conflict remains unresolved, and tensions continue to affect the region.
