Nuragic people
The Nuragic people were an ancient civilization that inhabited the island of Sardinia from the Bronze Age to the Iron Age, approximately between 1800 BCE and 238 CE. They are best known for their distinctive stone structures called nuraghes, which are tower-like buildings made of large stones. These structures served various purposes, including defense, habitation, and religious activities.
The Nuragic culture is characterized by its unique art, pottery, and metalwork. They developed a complex society with social hierarchies and trade networks, interacting with other Mediterranean cultures. The legacy of the Nuragic people can still be seen today in the archaeological sites scattered across Sardinia.
