Numididae
Numididae is a family of birds commonly known as guineafowl. They are native to Africa and are characterized by their distinctive spotted plumage and unique vocalizations. Guineafowl are ground-dwelling birds that prefer open habitats, such as savannas and grasslands.
These birds are social creatures, often found in small flocks. They are omnivorous, feeding on seeds, insects, and small invertebrates. Numididae plays a role in their ecosystems by helping control insect populations and dispersing seeds. Their domestication has also made them popular in poultry farming for their meat and eggs.
