Norwegian Regions
Norway is divided into 12 regions, known as fylker, which serve as the country's administrative divisions. Each region has its own unique geography, culture, and economy. The regions include Oslo, Vestland, Trøndelag, and Nordland, among others, each offering distinct landscapes from fjords to mountains.
These regions are further categorized into municipalities, which handle local governance. The northern regions, like Finnmark, are known for their Arctic climate and indigenous Sami culture, while southern regions, such as Viken, are more urbanized and densely populated. Each region contributes to Norway's rich diversity.
