Northern Paiute
The Northern Paiute are a Native American group primarily located in the western United States, particularly in areas of Nevada, California, and Oregon. They are part of the larger Paiute cultural group and traditionally lived in the Great Basin region, relying on hunting, gathering, and fishing for sustenance.
Historically, the Northern Paiute people spoke the Northern Paiute language, which is part of the Uto-Aztecan language family. Their social structure was organized into small bands, and they engaged in trade with neighboring tribes. Today, many Northern Paiute individuals continue to preserve their cultural heritage and traditions.
