Northern Fulmar
The Northern Fulmar is a seabird belonging to the family Procellariidae. It is commonly found in the North Atlantic and North Pacific oceans. This bird has a distinctive tube-shaped nose, which helps it excrete salt from seawater. Northern Fulmars are known for their strong, graceful flight and can cover long distances while searching for food, primarily consisting of fish and squid.
These birds have a wingspan of about 32 to 39 inches and exhibit a range of plumage colors, from white to gray. They are often seen gliding over the ocean's surface and are known for their ability to live in harsh, cold environments. The Northern Fulmar is also a monogamous bird, often returning to the same nesting sites each year, typically on cliffs or rocky shores.
