Northeast China Plain
The Northeast China Plain, also known as the Songliao Plain, is a large, flat region located in northeastern China. It covers parts of Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning provinces. This area is characterized by fertile soil, making it one of China's most important agricultural zones, particularly for crops like rice and corn.
The plain is bordered by the Greater Khingan Mountains to the north and the Liaodong Peninsula to the south. It is also home to several rivers, including the Songhua River, which provide essential water resources for irrigation. The region has a diverse climate, with cold winters and warm summers, supporting various ecosystems.
