North Carolina State Senate
The North Carolina State Senate is the upper chamber of the North Carolina General Assembly, which is the legislative body of the state. It consists of 50 members who are elected to serve four-year terms. Senators represent various districts across North Carolina and are responsible for creating and voting on state laws.
The Senate works alongside the North Carolina House of Representatives to pass legislation, approve budgets, and address issues affecting the state. The leadership of the Senate includes the President Pro Tempore, who is elected by the members and plays a key role in guiding the legislative agenda.
