North Carolina State Bar
The North Carolina State Bar is the official organization responsible for regulating the practice of law in the state of North Carolina. Established in 1933, it oversees the admission of new lawyers, sets ethical standards, and enforces rules of professional conduct. The Bar also provides resources for legal education and public information about the law.
In addition to its regulatory functions, the North Carolina State Bar offers various programs to support legal professionals and the public. These include continuing legal education (CLE) opportunities, a lawyer referral service, and initiatives aimed at improving access to justice for all residents of North Carolina.
