Norbertine Order
The Norbertine Order, also known as the Premonstratensians, is a Roman Catholic religious order founded by Saint Norbert in 1120. The order emphasizes a communal life of prayer, work, and study, following the Rule of Saint Augustine. Norbertines live in abbeys and are dedicated to the celebration of the Eucharist and the preaching of the Gospel.
Members of the Norbertine Order can be either priests or lay brothers, and they often engage in various ministries, including education and pastoral care. The order has a strong presence in Europe and North America, with numerous abbeys and communities dedicated to their mission.
