Non-Custodial Parent
A Non-Custodial Parent is a parent who does not have primary physical custody of their child after a separation or divorce. This means the child primarily lives with the other parent, known as the Custodial Parent. Non-custodial parents typically have visitation rights and may be responsible for paying child support to help cover the child's living expenses.
Non-custodial parents play an important role in their child's life, maintaining relationships through scheduled visits and communication. They are often involved in decision-making regarding the child's education, health, and welfare, even if they do not live with the child full-time.
