Nisga'a Nation
The Nisga'a Nation is an Indigenous group located in northwestern British Columbia, Canada. They are one of the first Indigenous groups in Canada to sign a modern treaty, known as the Nisga'a Treaty, in 1998. This treaty established self-governance and recognized their rights to land and resources.
The Nisga'a people have a rich cultural heritage, including traditional practices, languages, and art. Their governance system is based on the Nisga'a Constitution, which outlines their political structure and community responsibilities. The Nisga'a Nation continues to work towards preserving their culture and improving the well-being of their community members.
