Night Blindness
Night blindness, or nyctalopia, is a vision condition that makes it difficult to see in low light or darkness. It is not a disease itself but a symptom of various underlying issues, such as retinitis pigmentosa, cataracts, or vitamin A deficiency. People with night blindness may struggle to adjust when moving from bright areas to dimly lit environments.
The condition can affect anyone, but it is more common in individuals with certain eye disorders. Diagnosis typically involves a comprehensive eye exam, and treatment depends on the underlying cause. In some cases, improving overall eye health can help alleviate symptoms.
