Nicomedes IV
Nicomedes IV was a king of Bithynia, a region in northwestern Anatolia, who ruled from around 94 to 74 BCE. He was known for his efforts to strengthen his kingdom and for his alliances with the Roman Republic. His reign was marked by political maneuvering and attempts to maintain independence amid the growing power of Rome.
During his rule, Nicomedes IV faced challenges from neighboring territories and internal strife. He is often remembered for his will, which bequeathed his kingdom to Rome upon his death, leading to the eventual annexation of Bithynia.
