Ngorongoro
Ngorongoro is a large volcanic caldera located in Tanzania, part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It was formed millions of years ago when a massive volcano collapsed. The caldera is about 20 kilometers wide and is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including elephants, lions, and rhinos, making it a popular destination for safaris.
The area is also significant for its rich archaeological history, with sites like Olduvai Gorge nearby, where early human fossils have been discovered. The Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognized for its unique ecosystem and cultural importance to the local Maasai people.
