Neyzen
A "Neyzen" is a musician who plays the ney, a traditional Middle Eastern reed flute. This instrument is known for its breathy sound and is often used in Sufi music and spiritual ceremonies. Neyzens are skilled in the art of improvisation and often perform in groups or solo, creating a meditative atmosphere.
In addition to their musical talent, Neyzens are often associated with the teachings of Rumi, a famous Persian poet and Sufi mystic. The ney is considered a symbol of the soul's longing for connection with the divine, making Neyzens important figures in Sufism and its cultural practices.
