Newberry Volcano
Newberry Volcano is a large shield volcano located in central Oregon, USA. It is part of the Cascade Range and has a summit elevation of about 5,478 feet (1,669 meters). The volcano is known for its extensive lava flows and caldera, which formed during its last major eruption approximately 1,300 years ago.
The area surrounding Newberry Volcano is now protected as the Newberry National Volcanic Monument. This site features unique geological formations, hot springs, and diverse ecosystems.
