New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation
The New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation (NZBC) was a state-owned enterprise responsible for radio and television broadcasting in New Zealand. Established in 1961, it aimed to provide a range of programming that served the public interest, including news, entertainment, and educational content.
In 1975, the NZBC was restructured, leading to the creation of separate entities for radio and television. This change resulted in the formation of Radio New Zealand and Television New Zealand, which continue to operate today, focusing on delivering quality broadcasting services to the New Zealand public.
