New Technology Telescope
The New Technology Telescope (NTT) is a groundbreaking astronomical observatory located in Chile's Atacama Desert. It was inaugurated in 1998 and is known for its innovative design, which includes a flexible mirror that can adapt to changing atmospheric conditions. This technology allows for clearer and more detailed images of celestial objects.
The NTT is operated by the European Southern Observatory (ESO) and features a 3.58-meter primary mirror. It has played a significant role in various astronomical discoveries, including studies of distant galaxies and the observation of exoplanets. The telescope's advanced capabilities continue to enhance our understanding of the universe.
