New Mexico Senate
The New Mexico Senate is the upper chamber of the New Mexico Legislature, which is responsible for making state laws. It consists of 42 members who are elected to four-year terms. Senators represent various districts across the state and participate in legislative sessions to discuss and vote on proposed laws and budgets.
The Senate works alongside the New Mexico House of Representatives, which is the lower chamber of the legislature. Together, they address issues such as education, healthcare, and public safety. The Governor of New Mexico can also influence legislation by proposing bills and signing or vetoing laws passed by the Senate.
