New Haven Lighthouse
The New Haven Lighthouse, also known as the Five Mile Point Lighthouse, is located at the entrance of New Haven Harbor in Connecticut. Built in 1847, it stands 65 feet tall and features a distinctive white tower with a black lantern. The lighthouse was constructed to guide ships safely into the harbor and has been an important navigational aid for over a century.
The lighthouse is situated on a small peninsula and is surrounded by a scenic park, making it a popular spot for visitors. Although it is no longer an active lighthouse, it remains a historic landmark and is maintained by the New Haven Harbor Lighthouse organization.
