Neuropathic Arthropathy
Neuropathic Arthropathy is a joint condition caused by nerve damage, often seen in individuals with diabetes or other diseases affecting the nervous system. This damage leads to a loss of sensation in the affected area, resulting in abnormal joint movements and increased stress on the joints. Over time, this can cause significant joint damage and deformity.
Symptoms of Neuropathic Arthropathy may include swelling, warmth, and changes in skin color around the joint. Diagnosis typically involves physical examinations and imaging studies, while treatment focuses on managing symptoms and preventing further joint damage through protective measures and, in some cases, surgery.
