Neurogenetic Disorders
Neurogenetic disorders are conditions caused by abnormalities in genes that affect the nervous system. These disorders can lead to a range of symptoms, including cognitive impairments, movement difficulties, and emotional challenges. Examples include Huntington's disease, Down syndrome, and Fragile X syndrome.
These disorders can be inherited from parents or occur due to new genetic mutations. Diagnosis often involves genetic testing and neurological assessments. Treatment may focus on managing symptoms and improving quality of life, as there is currently no cure for most neurogenetic disorders.
