Nervios (Nerves)
Nerves are specialized structures in the body that transmit signals between the brain and other parts of the body. They are made up of bundles of nerve fibers, which are long, thin cells called neurons. Nerves play a crucial role in the nervous system, allowing us to feel sensations, control movements, and coordinate bodily functions.
There are two main types of nerves: sensory nerves, which carry information from the body to the brain, and motor nerves, which send signals from the brain to muscles. Together, these nerves help us respond to our environment and maintain overall health and well-being.
