Nepal Bhasa
Nepal Bhasa, also known as Newar, is a language spoken primarily by the Newar community in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal. It belongs to the Sino-Tibetan language family and has its own script, called Ranjana. The language has a rich literary tradition and is used in various cultural practices, including festivals and rituals.
With around 1.5 million speakers, Nepal Bhasa is an important part of the cultural identity of the Newar people. Efforts are being made to promote and preserve the language, especially in education and media, to ensure its survival for future generations.
