Ned Washington
Ned Washington was an American lyricist born on August 15, 1901, in New York City. He is best known for his work in the music industry, particularly in the realm of film and popular music. Washington wrote lyrics for numerous songs that became hits, collaborating with various composers throughout his career.
His most notable works include the lyrics for “Stardust” and “The Way You Look Tonight”, both of which have become classics. Washington's contributions to music earned him recognition, including an Academy Award for Best Original Song for “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” in 1944. He passed away on December 20, 1976.
