Ned Kelly
Ned Kelly was an Australian outlaw and folk hero, born in 1854 in Victoria. He is best known for his role in the Kelly Gang, which included his brothers and friends. The gang became infamous for robbing banks and engaging in violent confrontations with the police during the late 19th century. Kelly's distinctive armor, made from ploughshares, became a symbol of his resistance against colonial authority.
Kelly's life ended in 1880 when he was captured after a shootout at Glenrowan. He was tried and executed, but his story has since become a significant part of Australian history and culture. Many view him as a symbol of rebellion against injustice, while others see him as a criminal.
