Nazca Booby
The Nazca Booby is a large seabird native to the Galápagos Islands. It has a distinctive appearance, featuring a white body, black wing tips, and a long, pointed beak. This bird primarily feeds on fish, which it catches by diving into the ocean from the air.
Nazca Boobies are known for their unique nesting behavior, often laying two eggs, but typically only one chick survives. They are social birds, often found in large colonies. Their population is currently stable, but they face threats from introduced predators and habitat loss on the islands.
