National Wild Turkey Federation
The National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of wild turkeys and their habitats. Founded in 1973, it focuses on promoting sustainable hunting practices and wildlife management. The NWTF works with various partners, including state agencies and private landowners, to enhance turkey populations and their ecosystems.
In addition to conservation efforts, the NWTF also emphasizes education and outreach. It offers programs for youth and adults to learn about wildlife conservation, hunting ethics, and outdoor skills. Through these initiatives, the NWTF aims to foster a greater appreciation for nature and encourage responsible stewardship of natural resources.
