National Revolutionary Army
The National Revolutionary Army (NRA) was the military arm of the Nationalist Party (Kuomintang) in China during the early 20th century. Established in 1925, it aimed to unify China and eliminate warlord factions. The NRA played a significant role in the Northern Expedition (1926-1928), which sought to defeat regional warlords and establish a central government.
The NRA was involved in various conflicts, including the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945) against Japanese invasion. After World War II, the NRA faced challenges from the Chinese Communist Party, leading to the Chinese Civil War. Ultimately, the NRA was dissolved in 1949 when the Nationalists retreated to Taiwan.
