National Revivals
National revivals are movements aimed at restoring or enhancing a nation's cultural, political, or religious identity. These revivals often emerge in response to perceived threats, such as foreign influence or internal decline, and seek to rekindle pride in a nation's heritage, traditions, and values. They can manifest through art, literature, language, and public celebrations.
Such movements have occurred throughout history, often linked to periods of significant change. For example, the Romantic Movement in the 19th century emphasized national folklore and history, while the Renaissance revived interest in classical antiquity. National revivals can foster unity but may also lead to exclusionary practices.
