National Police of Peru
The National Police of Peru (Policía Nacional del Perú) is the primary law enforcement agency in Peru, responsible for maintaining public order and ensuring citizen safety. Established in 1988, it operates under the Ministry of the Interior and is tasked with preventing and investigating crimes, managing traffic, and enforcing laws.
The police force is organized into various specialized units, including those focused on anti-drug operations, counter-terrorism, and community policing. The National Police of Peru works in collaboration with other government agencies and international organizations to address crime and enhance security throughout the country.
