National Forest Foundation
The National Forest Foundation (NFF) is a nonprofit organization established in 1993 to support the management and restoration of the nation's 193 million acres of national forests and grasslands. It works in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service to enhance the health and sustainability of these public lands through various programs and initiatives.
The NFF focuses on engaging communities, promoting conservation efforts, and providing funding for projects that improve forest ecosystems. It also encourages public involvement and education about the importance of national forests, fostering a sense of stewardship among visitors and local residents.
