National Council of Slovenia
The National Council of Slovenia is an important legislative body in Slovenia, established to represent various interest groups in society. It consists of 40 members who are elected to serve four-year terms. The Council's primary role is to provide opinions and proposals on legislation, ensuring that the voices of different sectors, such as business, labor, and civil society, are heard in the legislative process.
The Council operates alongside the National Assembly of Slovenia, which is the main legislative body. While the National Assembly focuses on passing laws, the National Council acts as an advisory body, contributing to discussions and promoting dialogue on key issues affecting the country.
