Nathaniel Herreshoff
Nathaniel Herreshoff was an American yacht designer and builder, born on March 18, 1848, in Bristol, Rhode Island. He is best known for his innovative designs and contributions to the world of sailing, particularly in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Herreshoff founded the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company, which produced many successful racing yachts, including the famous America's Cup contenders.
