Nakajima Ki-49
The Nakajima Ki-49, also known as the "Helen," was a Japanese twin-engine bomber used during World War II. It was designed in the late 1930s and first flew in 1940. The aircraft was primarily employed for strategic bombing missions and had a maximum speed of around 300 mph.
The Ki-49 featured a conventional design with a high-mounted wing and a retractable landing gear. It was equipped with a crew of five and could carry a bomb load of approximately 1,000 kg. Despite its initial success, the Ki-49 faced challenges from more advanced Allied aircraft as the war progressed.
