Nahal
Nahal is a Hebrew term that translates to "stream" or "brook." It often refers to a seasonal watercourse found in the hilly and desert regions of Israel. These streams typically flow during the rainy season and can dry up during the hotter months, creating unique ecosystems that support various plant and animal life.
In addition to its natural significance, Nahal is also associated with the Nahal Brigade, an elite infantry unit in the Israel Defense Forces. This unit is known for its specialized training in combat and reconnaissance, often operating in challenging terrains, including those near seasonal streams and rugged landscapes.
