NZSIS
The New Zealand Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) is the primary intelligence agency in New Zealand. Its main role is to protect the country from threats such as terrorism, espionage, and other national security risks. The NZSIS gathers and analyzes information to help the government make informed decisions regarding security matters.
Established in 1956, the NZSIS operates under the Intelligence and Security Act 2017. It works closely with other agencies, including the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB), to ensure a coordinated approach to national security. The agency also engages with international partners to share intelligence and enhance security efforts.
