NGC_6853
NGC_6853, also known as the Dumbbell Nebula, is a planetary nebula located in the constellation Vulpecula. It is approximately 1,500 light-years away from Earth and has a diameter of about 0.5 light-years. The nebula is formed from the outer layers of a dying star that has shed its material, creating a glowing shell of gas.
Discovered by Charles Messier in 1764, NGC_6853 is one of the most studied planetary nebulae due to its bright appearance and distinct shape. It is best observed through telescopes, where its unique hourglass structure and vibrant colors can be appreciated.
