NGC_2409
NGC 2409 is a barred spiral galaxy located approximately 100 million light-years away in the constellation Lynx. It was discovered by the astronomer William Herschel in 1788 and is part of the Lyon-Meudon Extragalactic Database.
This galaxy has an apparent magnitude of about 13.5, making it faint and challenging to observe without a telescope. NGC 2409 is notable for its distinct bar structure, which is a common feature in many spiral galaxies, and it is thought to contain a significant amount of star formation activity.
