NGC 2410
NGC 2410 is an open star cluster located in the constellation of Monoceros, which is also known as the Unicorn. It is approximately 2,000 light-years away from Earth and contains several young stars that are still in the process of forming. The cluster is estimated to be around 100 million years old.
Discovered by William Herschel in 1785, NGC 2410 is notable for its relatively loose structure compared to other star clusters. It is best observed with telescopes, where its stars can be seen scattered across a small area of the night sky, making it an interesting target for amateur astronomers.
