NGC_2141
NGC 2141 is a barred spiral galaxy located in the constellation Lynx. It is approximately 70 million light-years away from Earth and is part of the Lyon-Meudon Extragalactic Database.
Discovered by astronomer William Herschel in 1788, NGC 2141 has a visual magnitude of about 13.5, making it faint and challenging to observe without a telescope. Its structure features a prominent bar and spiral arms, typical of barred spiral galaxies, which contribute to its unique appearance in the night sky.
