NGC_2119
NGC 2119 is an open star cluster located in the constellation Auriga. It was discovered by the astronomer William Herschel in 1786. This cluster is approximately 2,000 light-years away from Earth and contains several bright stars that are relatively young, with ages estimated around 100 million years.
The cluster spans about 20 light-years across and is best observed with binoculars or small telescopes. NGC 2119 is often studied for its stellar population and dynamics, providing insights into the formation and evolution of star clusters in our galaxy, the Milky Way.
