NGC 2119
NGC 2119 is an open star cluster located in the constellation Auriga. It is approximately 2,000 light-years away from Earth and contains several young stars that are relatively close together in space. The cluster is estimated to be around 100 million years old.
Discovered by William Herschel in 1786, NGC 2119 is notable for its bright stars and is often studied by astronomers to understand stellar formation and evolution. The cluster is best observed with telescopes, revealing its distinct grouping of stars against the backdrop of the night sky.
