NGC_2117
NGC_2117 is an open star cluster located in the constellation Monoceros, which is also known as the Unicorn. It was discovered by the astronomer John Herschel in 1831. This cluster is approximately 2,000 light-years away from Earth and contains several young stars that are still in the process of forming.
The cluster spans about 20 light-years across and is estimated to be around 100 million years old. NGC_2117 is a part of the larger Milky Way galaxy and is often studied by astronomers to understand the formation and evolution of star clusters.
