NGC_1984
NGC 1984 is a bright open star cluster located in the constellation of Lepus. It is approximately 1,200 light-years away from Earth and contains several young, hot stars that are primarily blue in color. The cluster is estimated to be around 100 million years old.
Discovered by John Herschel in 1834, NGC 1984 is part of a larger group of stars that share a common origin. Its stars are loosely bound by gravity, making it a relatively open cluster compared to denser globular clusters. Observations of NGC 1984 can provide insights into stellar evolution and the dynamics of star clusters.
