NGC_1960
NGC_1960 is an open star cluster located in the constellation Monoceros, which is also known as the Unicorn. It is approximately 3,900 light-years away from Earth and is part of a larger group of stars that are loosely bound by gravity. The cluster contains several bright stars, making it a popular target for amateur astronomers.
Discovered by William Herschel in 1784, NGC 1960 is also known as LBN 762 and is sometimes referred to as the "Starfish Cluster" due to its shape. The cluster is estimated to be around 100 million years old, showcasing a mix of young, hot stars and older, cooler ones.
