NGC_1050
NGC 1050 is a barred spiral galaxy located approximately 60 million light-years away in the constellation Eridanus. It was discovered by the astronomer John Herschel in 1834 and is part of the Hubble Sequence of galaxy classifications.
This galaxy has a prominent central bar structure and exhibits features typical of spiral galaxies, including well-defined arms. NGC 1050 is also notable for its active star formation regions, which contribute to its bright appearance in optical wavelengths.
