NGC 7244
NGC 7244 is a barred spiral galaxy located approximately 30 million light-years away in the constellation Pavo. It was discovered by the astronomer John Herschel in 1834 and is notable for its bright central bar structure and well-defined spiral arms.
The galaxy spans about 100,000 light-years in diameter and contains a significant number of stars, gas, and dust. NGC 7244 is part of a group of galaxies and is often studied to understand the formation and evolution of spiral galaxies in the universe.
